Montinola, III, Filipino, in addition to his role at the Bank of the Philippine Islands, is also President of the Bankers Association of the Philippines; Vice Chairman of MasterCard Asia/Pacific Regional Advisory Board; Director of Ayala Land Inc.; Vice Chairman and President of BPI Foundation; Vice Chairman of Far Eastern University; Vice Chairman of Republic Cement Corporation; and Director of the Makati Business Club, among other affiliations. He was awarded the 2005 and 2009 Asian Banker Leadership Award for the Philippines and the 2006 CEO Excel Award for Communication Excellence in Banking and Finance.
